2025 Paddle Raise: Investing in Inspired Teaching

This year, we’re launching an exciting new initiative: a Professional Development Seed Fund to support Waldorf Teacher Training for all SGWS faculty.

As part of our strategic plan and accreditation process, we’ve adopted a new policy that sets the expectation for all faculty to pursue Waldorf Certification within four years of hire. And we’re committed to supporting them financially on that journey. In return, certified faculty will continue enriching our school community for at least five years—or reimburse the cost of training.

Why does this matter? Because every child deserves to learn from educators who are deeply grounded in the philosophy and practices of Waldorf education.
