The GOLDEN TICKET is one of the largest fundraisers of the Annual Benefit. If present during the drawing, the winner will have the option of choosing ANY of the exciting items from the live or silent auctions OR $1000. If not in attendance, the winner will automatically receive the cash payout.
Tickets are $40 each and available in a LIMITED quantity. Need not be present to win.
Each year, we choose a project to highlight at our auction for a paddle raise. Auction goers and members of our community have the opportunity to pledge support for a much needed specific project.
Thanks to generous donations to last year’s Fund-A-Need, we are moving ahead with plans for the much needed improvements to our parking lot and you will see changes in the near future as we begin to do this work.
Each generation has a story for their time that is integral in continuing to offer a Waldorf education in Northeast Ohio. The story of our school began when Jennell Woodard and Marie Paul committed to starting a Waldorf School in Akron. A new story began when our school had to move from Springfield with little notice. The parents, faculty, and staff searched, raised funds, secured a loan, and cleaned and painted our current building all in the span of 3 months. This school is truly a labor of love.
Our story is to complete the raising of the gabled roof. We must finish the roof on our building. It is solid, strong, and has the ability to serve us for another 60 years. The total cost of the roof project was estimated at $736,000. Through generous donations, institutional funds, and foundation support, we now have only $98,000 left to raise. This year alone, we are requesting over $40,000 in grant funding. Tonight, we ask you to show your enthusiasm for completing this building renovation. Our goal for the evening is to raise $15,000. Please join us by raising your paddle during the Fund-A-Need!
