Each year we choose a project to highlight for a paddle raise to give our supporters an opportunity to pledge support for a much needed project. Last year we raised over $11,000 to reimagine the oval as a beautiful, welcoming entryway to our school. Thank You! Our Oval Arboretum project has begun in earnest with a groundbreaking date, weather permitting, of Spring Break.
This year’s paddle raise project is a series of essential facilities upgrades. The Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), signed into law in 1990, is one of America's most comprehensive pieces of civil rights legislation to help guarantee that people with disabilities have the same opportunities as everyone else.
Spring Garden Waldorf School will be taking great strides this year to make a series of ADA accommodations that have previously been cost prohibitive. While we have actively made accommodations throughout the years after purchasing our building from the Copley school system, there are some ADA projects that have been delayed when our budget was tight.
However, we do not want to defer this essential series of upgrades any longer. There are several areas in need of ADA attention including our bathrooms, parking lots, entryways, doorways, outdoor areas and more.
Please pledge this year to help us make our school a more welcoming and accessible environment!
